Amazon is seeking a Senior Field Operations Engineer to support the deployment and optimization of next-generation fulfillment technologies. This role involves leading engineering initiatives, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and ensuring the reliability of complex automation systems in a fast-paced environment.
Requirements
- 5+ years of directly managing and responsible for multiple large projects experience
- 5+ years of Reliability Program Manager experience
- 5+ years of Microsoft Office products and applications experience
- 5+ years of maintenance or engineering experience
- 2+ years of commercial CO2 refrigeration applications experience
- Bachelor's degree
- Refrigeration Trade School certificate
- Experience and strong technical background in relevant fields of automated or non-automated material handling equipment
- Work flexible schedule including weekends, nights, and holidays
Responsibilities
- Lead the end-to-end lifecycle of complex cross-functional engineering programs with significant operational impact
- Define project scope, objectives, delivery timelines, and budgets while analyzing operational and engineering data
- Develop deep technical expertise in material handling and automation systems
- Deep dive technical solutions involving advanced automation technologies and material handling equipment
- Lead coordination between internal engineering teams, operations, and external vendors
- Facilitate and contribute to engineering and design reviews
- Manage project financials and vendor deliverables
- Build strong partnerships with SSD Fulfillment Center leadership and cross-functional stakeholders
- Identify and lead process improvement initiatives
- Develop deep cross-functional understanding of operations and engineering tools
- Collaborate with internal teams and external vendors to deliver high-quality engineering solutions
- Travel up to 60% across North America
