This role involves the development of suppliers, processes, and packages for Auto Pilot SOC, requiring effective communication with internal and external teams. The position includes traveling to suppliers and supporting the design and process of advanced packaging.
Requirements
- Degree or relevant experience in Electrical Engineering, Material Science, Physics or equivalent experience
- Understands Statistical Process Control and has solid knowledge of statistical analysis
- Experience in failure analysis and material analysis techniques such as SEM/EDX, TEM, XRF, XRD, CSAM
- Detailed understanding of JEDEC, AEC-Q, RoHS and IPC standards
- Experience with NPI activities for high volume manufacturing
- Understanding of applications of Cpk, GR&Rs and process qualification methodologies
- Experience with PPAP
- Willingness to travel domestically and internationally (expected 25% of the time)
Responsibilities
- Work with manufacturers on component development and lead resolutions to achieve mass production
- Lead material characterization and process corner studies with suppliers
- Spearhead root cause analysis and permanent countermeasures with the manufacturer and cross-functional teams
- Work cross-functionally with design and reliability engineering teams to ensure package meets design requirements
- Collaborate with OSATs to bring packaging solutions from concept to production
- Monitor supplier yield and take actions to predict and resolve excursions
- Audit and oversee equipment performance and process controls at suppliers
- Assess supplier PFMEA and manufacturing process controls and drive continuous improvement
- Monitor supplier production and raw material capacity
- Manage RFQs and contract management, ensuring all agreements are documented
