This role involves working with cross-functional teams to ensure the quality performance of Rivian's Supplier Base, particularly in the Energy Storage System commodity. The position requires managing supplier industrialization and readiness for various components, ensuring successful program launches and production scaling.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering, Supply Chain, or related fields
- 3-5+ years supplier quality engineering experience required
- Strong Knowledge of Advanced Product Quality Planning (APQP), Production Part Approval Process (PPAP), Failure Mode and Effect Analysis (FMEA)
- Technical expertise of automotive components designs and manufacturing
- Knowledge of Geometric Design and Tolerancing (GD&T)
- Experience in Battery and Cell commodities
- In depth knowledge of IATF16949:2016 and understanding of ISO14001
Responsibilities
- Lead supplier industrialization and readiness for ESS components
- Support supplier selection and capability assessment for projects
- Drive APQP discipline and enforce PPAP requirements
- Develop and track industrialization project KPIs
- Evaluate and validate supplier manufacturing processes
- Optimize supplier manufacturing scalability
- Monitor supplier industrialization performance through KPIs
- Facilitate problem resolution using structured methodologies
- Collaborate cross-functionally with engineering, quality, and supply chain teams
- Up to 50% travel requirement
