This role involves testing, pre-commissioning, commissioning, startup, and troubleshooting of instrumentation and controls systems at Gigafactory Nevada. Under the supervision of the Commissioning Lead, you will work on various industrial systems including HVAC, chemical, and life safety systems.
Requirements
- Degree in Instrumentation & Controls, Industrial Automation, or equivalent experience
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in instrumentation and controls commissioning
- Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment is highly desirable
- Ability to work in various environments, including construction sites
- Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
- Ability to comfortably wear and use all PPE including hard hats and boots
- Ability to climb stairs/ladders and work at height
Responsibilities
- Participation in construction completion walkdown and develop list of deficiencies
- Perform on site pre-commissioning, commissioning and troubleshooting activities
- Configure and calibrate a variety of instrumentation and control systems
- Perform loop checks and complete I&C commissioning checklists
- Work closely with external vendors and internal PLC programming team
- Support mechanical/electrical/process commissioning team during testing
- Participate in commissioning completion walkdowns with facilities operations and maintenance teams
