Job description
Netflix is seeking a senior software engineer to join the TV & Web Player Platform team, focusing on test development, automation, and CI/CD processes. The role involves designing automated tests to ensure high-quality streaming experiences and optimizing build and release workflows.
Requirements
- Extensive experience in software engineering with focus on and/or test development
- Exceptional proficiency in JavaScript and/or Typescript
- Strong experience with CI/CD tools (such as Jenkins, Spinnaker, or GitHub Actions)
- Proven ability to drive quality through experimentation, including designing, running, and analyzing A/B tests
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with a data-driven approach
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills
- Experience mentoring and leveling up peers through code reviews and technical guidance
- Nice to have: Experience in streaming media playback, architecture, and industry protocols relevant to video streaming
Responsibilities
- Design and implement complex automated tests and strategies for streaming experiences
- Lead efforts to optimize and automate build, integration, and release workflows
- Drive technical direction for test automation and mentor other engineers
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve challenging problems at scale
