Job description
Netflix is seeking an experienced engineer to join their Content & Business Products (CBP) Engineering teams, focusing on building and optimizing products for content creation and management. The role involves crafting resilient microservices and influencing architectural decisions to support the production of movies and TV series at scale.
Requirements
- 5+ years of experience crafting resilient, high-scale, low-latency, distributed microservices in production environments.
- Proficient with gRPC, GraphQL, or RESTful API design and implementation.
- Recent proficient experience with Java, C#, or other OO programming languages.
- Solid understanding of OO design principles, concurrency, multi-threading, performance tuning, and observability.
- Proven track record in architecting, building, and operating distributed systems with high availability and fault tolerance.
- Experience in setting technical directions for engineering projects and influencing cross-functional teams.
- Ability to describe complex technical concepts to various stakeholders.
Responsibilities
- Participate in on-call rotation and lead incident reviews.
- Drive conversations and decisions through written and verbal communication.
- Support Netflix's enterprise needs including Finance, Talent, Tech Support, and Customer Support.
