Job description

We are seeking a high-energy and self-motivated Data Center Design Engineer to lead projects and guide cross-functional teams in meeting Infrastructure Design requirements. The role involves close collaboration with Electrical, Mechanical, and Structural Engineers to maximize data center efficiency and ensure compliance with industry standards.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical, Electrical, Industrial, Construction Management or similar or equivalent experience
  • 5+ years of structured cabling infrastructure (OSP/ISP)
  • Experience working with low voltage power
  • Ability to travel domestically and internationally

Responsibilities

  • Maintain accurate records/versions of design work and ensure they meet quality standards
  • Provide project timelines and update reports to internal & external stakeholders
  • Create structured cabling packages and ensure implementation of designs using Telecommunications and Electrical Standards
  • Engage with operational teams to review documentation handovers
  • Work closely with external vendors & suppliers to meet demand and ensure product availability
  • Create bill of materials (BOM), Scopes of Work (SOW) and installation drawings for new projects
  • Support new projects with the construction team and manage contractors directly
