Job description

Apple is seeking a screening & integration engineer for the Generative AI Experiences Software team. The role involves reviewing and triaging incoming bugs, analyzing logs, and integrating software with the broader operating system while collaborating with various teams. The ideal candidate should be detail-oriented, technically proficient, and possess strong communication skills.

Requirements

  • Experience with Xcode and Apple internal development practices
  • BS CS/CE/EE or equivalent experience
  • Passionate and inquisitive, seeking to solve everyday problems in innovative ways
  • Passion for debugging and problem solving
  • Strong software engineering and development life cycle knowledge
  • Advanced experience with version control systems, specifically git
  • Experience in programming or scripting, preferably in Python
  • Comfortable with rapid development cycles
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work accordingly
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Track record of being proactive, self-motivated, detail-oriented, and well organized
  • Basic understanding of macOS and iOS

Responsibilities

  • Support developers for triage and analysis of issues
  • Work with others to complete analysis, evaluations and design alternatives and to implement process improvements
  • Develop, maintain and collaborate on tools that support and automate processes for screening issues in our software
  • Compile and assemble software from source code for triaging and debugging, independent from development engineers' workflow
  • Maintain branching for software repositories
  • Maintain documentation of features for team
  • Monitor communications in screening chat rooms
  • Run reviews for development teams to keep issues moving through our system
  • Escalate appropriately issues found in screening to development engineers
