Job description

Amazon is seeking motivated individuals for its Network Development Engineer Apprenticeship Program, which offers 12 months of on-the-job training. Candidates should have a background in Network Engineering or a related STEM field, and the role involves end-to-end ownership of network architecture and design.

Requirements

  • Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a bachelor’s degree in Network Engineering or related STEM field with a conferral date within the last 24 months or an expected conferral date of March 2026 - September 2026
  • OR a graduate of Skillstorm, WA2VETS, or MSSA with a conferral date on or after 9/1/25 AND either a Bachelor’s Degree in a Network/IT related field OR 4+ years of equivalent Network/IT experience

Responsibilities

  • Have end to end ownership (architecture/design/scale) of current and newly developing networks
  • Drive the scaling of current network designs to meet customer demand
  • Work closely with internal customers on new solutions, bringing them from concept to public launch
  • Create and update network standards and ensure adherence
  • Collaborate with automation teams to define the toolchain
  • Drive operational excellence projects to improve network performance and reliability
  • Troubleshoot complex problems and develop innovative solutions
  • Work with a wide range of complex technologies
  • Review and implement changes on the network
