The Institutional Client Specialist – Retirement role focuses on delivering exceptional customer service to institutional clients, particularly in employer-sponsored retirement plans. Requirements
- College degree required
- 3 or more years of industry experience preferred
- Active Series 7, 63 and 65 (or Series 7 and 66) required
- Additional product licenses may be required
- Experience with employer-sponsored retirement plans strongly preferred
- Experience with Custodians, Recordkeepers, and Third-Party Administrators in the Retirement Industry preferred
Responsibilities
- Provide subject matter expert sales support to Financial Advisors on employer-sponsored retirement plan design options
- Serve as the primary contact for Financial Advisors on the participant engagement program
- Build trust and credibility with Financial Advisors by demonstrating strong knowledge of Morgan Stanley retirement solutions
- Develop a strong understanding of how employer-sponsored retirement plans meet the needs of employers and employees
- Explain Morgan Stanley’s fiduciary investment monitoring service
- Guide Financial Advisors on retirement plan maintenance requirements
- Perform account maintenance on institutional retirement plan accounts
- Partner with cross-functional teams to identify process and technology roadblocks
- Coordinate across business lines, operations teams, and external providers to resolve client issues
- Participate in ongoing training to maintain knowledge of policies, procedures, and risk awareness
