Morgan Stanley is seeking a Director for their Treasury Capital Markets team to manage the Firm's liquidity resources. The role involves collaborating with various colleagues, managing liquidity investments, and engaging with senior stakeholders on funding and liquidity topics.
Requirements
- Advanced understanding of Treasury and the industry
- Ability to provide positive and constructive feedback
- Ability to articulate risk and impact to various audiences
- In-depth knowledge of Bank balance sheet, funding products, and liquidity management
- In-depth knowledge of liquidity risk and liquidity stress testing
- Well-developed analytical capabilities
- Experience working with technology teams to develop analytical dashboards
- Inquisitive and pro-active mindset with strong critical thinking skills
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to build relationships across the Firm
- Self-motivation and attention to detail
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, or Information Technology-related field is a plus
- At least 6 years' relevant experience
Responsibilities
- Collaborate with a varied group of colleagues in Finance and across the Firm
- Lead a significant set of deliverables leveraging advanced understanding of Treasury
- Proactively identify emerging risks and contribute to strategies for mitigating them
- Act as a role model and culture carrier, embodying the Firm's values
- Develop analytics and strategies to optimize the Firm’s liquidity positioning
- Manage liquidity investments and funding in North America
- Analyze and report on liquidity, funding, and collateral flows
- Position liquidity resources to meet internal and external requirements
- Execute reverse repurchase agreements, FX spot and forwards
- Engage directly with senior business unit stakeholders and regulators
- Build effective working relationships with senior stakeholders
