Job description
Tesla is seeking a Supply Chain Analyst to support the raw material steel category within the direct procurement team. The role involves managing procurement tasks, analyzing data, and ensuring optimal supply assurance and pricing while collaborating with various internal stakeholders.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Operations Management, Economics, Engineering, and/or equivalent experience
- Experience in commodity management, procurement, sourcing, supply chain management, engineering, or manufacturing environment preferred
- Strong analytical skills for data analysis and cost evaluation
- Self-motivated and highly organized to manage multiple projects and deadlines
- Excellent communication and people skills
- Knowledge and understanding of raw materials preferred
- Ability to travel up to 25% of the time
Responsibilities
- Support the raw material price negotiation process through the understanding and gathering of raw material data and market analysis
- Actively support Tesla programs with procurement tasks such as supplier set up, PO creation & approval, price updates, material movement, program tracking, and securing of sample & trial materials
- Ensure Non-Disclosure Agreements, General Terms & Conditions, Piece Price Agreements, and other related contracts are properly executed and documented
- Address all other areas of category management including spend analysis, supplier management, program management, strategic sourcing & strategy development and cost modelling
- Establish and support relationships across various functions, commodities, and business areas within Tesla
- Engage raw material team members to ensure proper and accurate cost tracking and analysis
- Analyze and interpret purchasing data using large and/or complex datasets, generating reports and presentations for senior management
