Tesla is seeking a Software Validation Engineering Intern for the Wireless Systems team to develop and validate wireless technologies for Self-Driving and Optimus platform initiatives. The role involves designing test cases, troubleshooting software bugs, and enhancing test automation for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular technologies.
Requirements
- Currently pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering, or a related field
- Strong Python, Perl, or Ruby programming skills, familiarity with common python packages
- Knowledge and/or work experience in wireless connectivity domain
- Knowledge and/or work experience with software testing life cycle and QA processes
- Good understanding of Wireless technologies, preferably Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cellular
- Working experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cellular troubleshooting/debugging tools is a plus
Responsibilities
- Design end-to-end test plans, procedures and scripts for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular systems
- Bring up and maintain test setups and apparatus for validation cycles
- Root-cause issues reported by internal, other Development and QA teams and customer feedback
- Provide support to Software Development and Manufacturing teams
- Enhance Test automation frameworks and data analysis tools
- Analyze telemetry data and identify fleet wide issues
- Identify areas of opportunity and implement improvements, knowledge sharing and best practices
- Drive various tasks to completion and be the connoisseur of great quality product
