Job description

Tesla is seeking a Software Validation Engineering Intern for the Wireless Systems team to develop and validate wireless technologies for Self-Driving and Optimus platform initiatives. The role involves designing test cases, troubleshooting software bugs, and enhancing test automation for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, and Cellular technologies.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a Degree in Electrical Engineering, Software Engineering, Computer Science / Engineering, or a related field
  • Strong Python, Perl, or Ruby programming skills, familiarity with common python packages
  • Knowledge and/or work experience in wireless connectivity domain
  • Knowledge and/or work experience with software testing life cycle and QA processes
  • Good understanding of Wireless technologies, preferably Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cellular
  • Working experience with Wi-Fi, Bluetooth or Cellular troubleshooting/debugging tools is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Design end-to-end test plans, procedures and scripts for Wi-Fi, Bluetooth and Cellular systems
  • Bring up and maintain test setups and apparatus for validation cycles
  • Root-cause issues reported by internal, other Development and QA teams and customer feedback
  • Provide support to Software Development and Manufacturing teams
  • Enhance Test automation frameworks and data analysis tools
  • Analyze telemetry data and identify fleet wide issues
  • Identify areas of opportunity and implement improvements, knowledge sharing and best practices
  • Drive various tasks to completion and be the connoisseur of great quality product
