Job description

Netflix is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to lead the development of a unified revenue analytics strategy for its global Ads business. This role involves operationalizing core revenue datasets, building semantic models, and creating dashboards to measure and communicate revenue insights across various stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Experience working with financial datasets, revenue accounting, or ad-tech monetization analytics.
  • A 'Data Product Owner' mindset, comfortable with ambiguity and defining metrics across a matrixed organization.
  • Strong communication skills to influence and connect insights to actions across stakeholders.
  • Fluency in SQL, workflow orchestration tools like Apache Airflow, and at least one analytics and scripting language like Python.
  • Proven track record of balancing speed with rigor and accuracy for executive and financial reporting.
  • Experience building or working with semantic modeling tools like LookML is a plus.
  • Curiosity or practical experience with emerging AI technologies is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Lead the analytics vision for unified revenue measurement across Netflix Ads.
  • Act as the lead Semantic Architect for revenue, driving consensus across Finance & Strategy, Accounting, and Product.
  • Build scalable, transparent data models and dashboards in partnership with Data Engineering.
  • Drive the narrative around how core revenue definitions impact downstream performance metrics.
  • Act as a subject matter expert in revenue analytics, piloting scalable solutions for complex treatments.
  • Serve as the integration layer for revenue data, aggregating and harmonizing data for executive views.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
