Job description

Netflix is seeking a Senior Analytics Engineer to join the Ads Data Science and Engineering team. This role involves designing metrics, conducting deep dive analyses, and providing recommendations to enhance the ads business, while collaborating with partner teams to drive success in analytics initiatives.

Requirements

  • Expertise in SQL and programming skills (e.g. Python, Scala)
  • Exposure to ETL and data warehousing concepts
  • Proven track record of data analysis, reporting, and visualization (e.g. Preset, Tableau)
  • Strong communication skills to build stakeholder relationships
  • Enthusiastic about innovating in a fast-paced data and analytics space
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to thrive with minimal oversight

Responsibilities

  • Identify opportunities and create solutions to automate and scale ad hoc requests
  • Spearhead the creation of metrics that provide insight and help with decision-making
  • Develop high-impact dashboards and analyses to build visibility into the health of our ad platform
  • Facilitate information self-service to business users through data pipelines and custom analytic tools

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
