Tesla is seeking an Audio Machine Learning Engineer intern to develop and implement audio algorithms for advanced diagnostics of Tesla products. The role involves collaboration with manufacturing and audit teams to integrate algorithms into production processes, providing a hands-on experience in a dynamic environment.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Data Science, Computer Science, Computer Engineering, or related degree
• Strong experience with Python, C++, and software engineering best practices
• An 'under the hood' knowledge of deep learning: layer details, loss functions, optimization, etc.
• Experience in sound event detection and sound event classification
• Fluency with common neural network architectures for audio event detection and classification
• Experience with PyTorch, or another major deep learning framework such as TensorFlow
• Experience with data manipulation tools including jupyter notebooks, numpy, scipy, matplotlib, scikit-learn, Python & Bash scripting, Linux environment
• Record of driving research projects from start to end, including conception, experimentation, iteration, and integration into a working product

• Develop and implement audio algorithms that will enable advanced diagnostics for Tesla products
• Design and develop automated data generation pipelines that create various high quality ground truth data for real-world perception problems
