Amazon is seeking a Systems Development Engineer to join their Technology Deployment - Systems Integration team. This role involves developing and delivering advanced fulfillment systems, requiring strong engineering experience and the ability to collaborate across teams to ensure successful project delivery.

• Experience in automating, deploying, and supporting large-scale infrastructure
• Experience programming with at least one modern language such as Python, Ruby, Golang, Java, C++, C#, Rust
• Experience with Linux/Unix
• 3+ years control system experience including PLC/IPC based controls design, development, implementation and support
• Experience with the designs of complex, automated material handling equipment, packaging technologies, or systems including robotics
• Experience working technical documentation such as flow diagrams, conveyor and equipment layouts, and installation details
• Demonstrated understanding of life-cycle embedded systems development including hardware and software
• Experience in testing and implementing software
• Experience in industrial networking and communications including topology design and familiarity with TCP/IP and Fieldbus applications
• Experience with 3-phase electrical systems

• Support the installation of complex cross-functional projects with considerable impact
• Work with internal and external engineering teams to successfully deliver cross-functional projects
• Contribute to project priorities, establishing milestones, and driving schedules to meet a deadline
• Responsible to deep dive technical solutions that encompass advanced technology applications
• Participate in design reviews and support execution efforts between internal teams and outside vendors
• Communicate project status and produce clear and concise summaries for the projects you own
• Capture and synthesize the Voice of Customer for all new product introductions
• Build strong working relationships with Fulfillment Center/Sort Center management and their operations teams
• Identify process improvement initiatives in support of operations, deployment, or engineering teams
• Develop cross-functional knowledge of Operations and Engineering team systems
