Job description
As an Analysis Engineer at Tesla, you will be integral to the development and manufacturing of innovative vehicle products. Your role involves analyzing and optimizing vehicle designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and enhancing the predictive capabilities of analysis engineering.
Requirements
- Deep understanding of mechanics of materials, statics, and dynamics
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex problems
- Ability to develop practical and theoretically sound solutions
- Ability to convey technical communication concisely
- Understanding of mechanical engineering subjects including heat transfer, vibrations, controls, and fluid dynamics
- Experience in Finite Element Analysis, Fatigue Analysis, Applied Solid Mechanics, and Numerical Methods preferred
- Understanding of Statistics and optimization techniques preferred
- Knowledge of Python and Linux preferred
- Experience in 3D CAD modeling - CATIA v5/v6 preferred
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience
Responsibilities
- Develop strength and durability FE models for vehicle architecture analysis and optimization
- Challenge traditional CAE methods to improve efficiency and accuracy
- Use CAE tools to optimize performance for BIW, closures, chassis, and other sub-systems
- Support Engineering teams with design direction based on analyses
- Perform analysis for manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility
- Quickly learn and modify or create necessary tools
