As an Analysis Engineer at Tesla, you will be integral to the development and manufacturing of innovative vehicle products. Your role involves analyzing and optimizing vehicle designs, collaborating with cross-functional teams, and enhancing the predictive capabilities of analysis engineering.

• Deep understanding of mechanics of materials, statics, and dynamics
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively on complex problems
• Ability to develop practical and theoretically sound solutions
• Ability to convey technical communication concisely
• Understanding of mechanical engineering subjects including heat transfer, vibrations, controls, and fluid dynamics
• Experience in Finite Element Analysis, Fatigue Analysis, Applied Solid Mechanics, and Numerical Methods preferred
• Understanding of Statistics and optimization techniques preferred
• Knowledge of Python and Linux preferred
• Experience in 3D CAD modeling - CATIA v5/v6 preferred
• Bachelor's Degree in Engineering, or equivalent experience

• Develop strength and durability FE models for vehicle architecture analysis and optimization
• Challenge traditional CAE methods to improve efficiency and accuracy
• Use CAE tools to optimize performance for BIW, closures, chassis, and other sub-systems
• Support Engineering teams with design direction based on analyses
• Perform analysis for manufacturing, assembly, and service feasibility
• Quickly learn and modify or create necessary tools
