Job description

Netflix is seeking a leader for its Payments Platform team, responsible for building and operating services that support the complete payments journey for customers. The role involves managing a team of engineers, collaborating cross-functionally, and ensuring technical excellence while navigating a complex payments ecosystem.

Requirements

  • Strong technical skills with experience in large-scale distributed systems
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with stakeholders and partners
  • Comfortable operating in a complex and fast-moving environment
  • Product mindset focused on finding solutions for business and customers
  • Experience with experimentation and data science
  • Ability to balance tactical decisions and long-term strategic thinking
  • Desire to have an impact and improve Netflix

Responsibilities

  • Lead a team of talented distributed system engineers and maintain a high-performance culture
  • Collaborate with product managers and regional leads to deliver impactful features
  • Craft a technical vision for the payments platform and ensure engineering excellence
  • Navigate the evolving ecosystem of payment processors and regulatory requirements
  • Advocate for the Netflix culture and lead with context over control

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
