Tesla is seeking highly motivated software engineering interns specializing in web services and distributed systems. The internship will involve designing and building scalable systems and APIs, while providing an opportunity to work closely with a team of experts in a dynamic environment.

• Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date between 2026 - 2027
• Experience in web development building highly reliable, mission-critical software
• Proficiency in frontend and backend development, with frequent production releases
• Experience with Rails, React, Ruby or Webpack
• Nice to have: Experience with Go and Kubernetes, Knowledge of best practices, information security, and API design principles, Experience with gathering and building requirements from multiple stakeholders

• Design and build scalable, high-availability mission-critical systems and APIs
• Migrate systems to designs with improved maintainability and performance
• Build device-side software to manage security, connectivity, commands and telemetry
• Solve problems using distributed, asynchronous messaging
• Work closely with product, SRE and infrastructure teams
