Job description

Tesla is seeking highly motivated frontend software students for an internship in the Infotainment Applications software team. The role involves building in-car user interfaces and productivity applications, with a focus on enhancing customer experiences through innovative software solutions.

Requirements

  • Currently pursuing a degree in Computer Science or a related field with a graduation date between 2026 - 2027
  • Able to relocate and work on site in Palo Alto, CA
  • Strong proficiency in C++
  • Excellent grasp of fundamental computer science concepts
  • Experience writing and shipping customer-facing code
  • Willingness to learn new technologies in any area of the stack
  • Experience using common design patterns in the software industry
  • Experience working with multithreaded applications
  • Experience building user interfaces and/or consumer facing applications is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Build amazing features from the ground up that users look forward to (Holiday Release, Spring Release, etc.)
  • Design, architect, implement and debug game platform interfaces and systems in C++
  • Rapidly prototype and own fun in-car customer experiences
  • Work with a cross-functional team of Software Engineers, QA, Designers, Hardware Engineers and Game Developers
  • Communicate with game development and publishing partners to enhance user experience
