Job description

This role involves managing complex tax accounting and reporting activities within the payroll function at BCG. The position requires a strong focus on accuracy and compliance, as well as collaboration with internal teams to enhance service delivery and implement process improvements.

Requirements

  • Associates degree or comparable knowledge in payroll-related field
  • Minimum 3 years Payroll Tax experience
  • Strong attention to detail and execution
  • Strong verbal & written communication skills
  • Strong business acumen
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
  • Detail-oriented, organized and capable of prioritizing workload
  • Ability to work collaboratively and independently
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office: Windows, Excel and PowerPoint
  • ADP experience is a plus

Responsibilities

  • Analyzing and taking corrective steps on queries related to tax
  • Calculating retroactive tax and gross to net calculations
  • Reviewing and balancing W-2 files
  • Ensuring tax data integrity for tax filing
  • Implementing processing improvement recommendations
  • Processing W-2 corrections and reissues in accordance with IRS regulations
  • Conducting payroll tax update analysis/testing
  • Providing client support for escalated tax and accounting issues
  • Maintaining employee master tax data
  • Processing mass tax updates
  • Providing problem resolution support for tax-related issues
  • Assisting team leaders with complex payroll tax issues
  • Validating and balancing tax data
  • Reconciling payroll-related balance sheet accounts
  • Maintaining employee tax records
