Job description

The Global Content Protection team at Netflix is seeking an Analyst to protect the company's content from piracy. This role involves analyzing media rights, supporting anti-piracy goals, and implementing effective takedown programs on social media platforms. The ideal candidate will be organized, self-motivated, and possess strong business acumen.

Requirements

  • 5+ years experience in a global content protection program, ideally within a media or entertainment company.
  • Solid understanding of IP law, particularly copyright, and proven experience analyzing media rights, production, and licensing agreements.
  • Hands-on experience using content protection tools on social media platforms like YouTube, Facebook, Instagram, and TikTok.
  • Experience handling large-scale datasets using data management and tracking tools (e.g. Airtable).
  • Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to achieve business goals.
  • Ability to exercise good judgment and work proactively under tight time frames.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Responsibilities

  • Work alongside the Global Content Protection team to protect content against piracy.
  • Monitor the content release schedule across multiple territories.
  • Analyze rights, production, and licensing agreements for content protection-related purposes.
  • Implement technological content protection measures and utilize tools on social media platforms.
  • Coordinate with vendors to execute takedown requests of unauthorized content.
  • Assist with investigations and enforcement escalations regarding unauthorized distribution.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to develop improvements in knowledge sharing.
  • Support and advance the strategy to build and maintain the legal toolkit for content protection.
  • Maintain flexibility to take on additional projects as necessary.

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
