Job description

Netflix is seeking a distinguished technical leader to innovate in the domain of agentic identity, focusing on building a platform for various GenAI use cases. The role involves designing and maintaining critical identity and authentication services while collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure secure and reliable solutions.

Requirements

  • Distinguished Technical Leader with advanced proficiency in Java
  • Extensive experience designing and building scalable, resilient, and secure distributed systems
  • Deep expertise in workload identity, cryptography, or Public Key Infrastructure (PKI)
  • Ability to connect security and business needs to define guiding principles
  • Excellent judgment in making complex trade-off decisions
  • Mentor and collaborator with a team-oriented mindset

Responsibilities

  • Help innovate within the domain of agentic identity
  • Serve as a technical 'North Star' on the team
  • Design, build, and maintain critical identity and authentication services
  • Develop features related to agentic identity, workload identity, mTLS, and authentication token issuance
  • Collaborate closely with cross-functional partners
  • Participate in on-call rotation for high-availability services

Benefits

  • Employees at Netflix are often offered flexible, people-first benefits—unlimited time away, generous parental leave, global family-forming support, mental-health programs (mindfulness, free counseling/coaching), and health coverage tailored by country. Financially, Netflix pays at personal top-of-market and lets employees choose their mix of cash vs. fully-vested 10-year stock options, alongside donation and volunteer matching. Convenience perks can include trust-based travel/expense policies, relocation support, and “Work, Not Drive” rideshare flexibility.
