The TPT Engineering team at Tesla is seeking a skilled individual to design and deploy automation systems that enhance operational efficiency in energy storage and charging solutions. This role involves owning automation initiatives, developing intelligent interfaces, and building automated analytics systems to support global operations.

• Degree in Engineering, Computer Science, Data Science, or equivalent experience
• 3-5 years experience building or specifying technical solutions that improve operational efficiency or data quality
• Proficiency in SQL and Python for data analysis, pipeline development, and automation scripting
• Experience with dashboard/visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, Grafana) preferred
• Experience designing workflows, validation logic, or decision-support systems
• Ability to translate operational problems into technical requirements and system specifications
• Strong analytical skills with experience conducting cost-benefit analysis and building business cases with measurable ROI
• Track record driving cross-functional technical projects from concept to deployment

• Own end-to-end automation initiatives that remove human-in-the-loop processes
• Specify and drive development of technician-facing systems that guide decision-making
• Build self-service analytical dashboards and automated QC pipelines
• Drive specifications for software and hardware tooling based on real-world usage data
• Develop compelling business cases for automation technologies and operational strategies
• Drive technical programs from concept through field validation
• Proactively identify and resolve integration challenges
