Job description
The Mechanical Supplier Industrialization Engineer will focus on the development and qualification of stamping components within the Supply Chain Team. This role requires effective communication with internal and external teams, along with travel to supplier sites for critical decision-making.
Requirements
- Degree or relevant experience in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or Electrical Engineering
- Proficient on STAMPING related process variables, tooling dies, and raw material properties
- Knowledge on tool construction concepts (die material / die draw / gates / runner designs / witness marks / draft angle / ejectors)
- Experience with Stamping processes problem solving tools and techniques
- Familiar with Stamping Dies and Processes/Technologies design, parametrization, process and quality controls, and tooling set up
- Strong communication skill - good level spoken and written English
- Domestic and international travel (expected 50% of the time)
Responsibilities
- Contribute to Supplier’s quotation review by acting as the stamping expert, facilitating the interpretation of technical requirements between Parties
- Lead Supplier’s qualification assessment to ensure the ability to meet process performance, parts quality, and delivery expectation
- Coordinate design improvements in scalability, cost, and quality through Design-for-Manufacturability (DFMs) review
- Plan, organize, and conduct industrialization-related activities for Supplier’s process development, and component qualification readiness for new product introduction (NPI)
- Coordinate, track, and improve Supplier’s overall performance for a mass production flawless ramp-up execution
- Guide Suppliers on continues improvement methodology to encourage high-quality products
