Job description
As a Hardware Functional Safety Engineer at AMD, you will play a crucial role in the certification of key products targeting growth markets like digital cockpit and autonomous driving. You will provide technical leadership for product line safety functions while collaborating closely with various functional owners. This position requires a strong understanding of system safety standards in automotive and industrial markets, along with extensive project leadership skills. You will thrive in a collaborative environment, guiding cross-functional teams to achieve compliance for complex SoCs.
Requirements
- Experience with SOC design and microprocessor architecture
- Experience with the ISO26262 standard is a must
- Experience with software development is a plus
- Extensive knowledge of system safety and monitoring methods
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in computer engineering or Electrical Engineering
Responsibilities
- Perform safety concept exploration and scope evaluation.
- Refine the Safety Concept.
- Perform high-level safety analysis using Safety Analysis tools at architectural/concept level.
- Define HW and SW safety requirements.
- Perform verification planning, including safety verification plans to verify safety metrics.
- Define and maintain the Safety Manual.
- Assess and determine product line compliance to the ISO/IEC metrics.
- Directly reuse safety cases and designs through advice and metrics reporting.
- Address critical system safety topics with customers and represent the business in forums.
- Participate in evaluations of proposed technical solutions to judge the possibility of developing a SW solution.
- Represent the AMD FuSa team within system teams during Hazard Analysis, FMEA, FTA, etc.
