Job description

This role focuses on ensuring the security of computer systems and networks to prevent unauthorized access. The position involves leading responses to cybersecurity incidents and providing updates to various business units. The candidate will work with a team of cybersecurity professionals to analyze threats, coordinate remediation efforts, and develop technical capabilities for incident management. Additionally, the role includes mentoring junior staff and participating in industry task forces to stay informed about current threats.

Requirements

  • Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Mathematics, Cybersecurity, or a related field and 3 years of experience as a Cybersecurity Operations or Investigations Analyst, or a Bachelor's degree in the same fields with 5 years of experience.
  • Experience in investigating cybersecurity incidents using computer forensics concepts.
  • Knowledge of Cybersecurity Threat Analysis and Incident Response.
  • Familiarity with Cybersecurity Defense Operations plans and Security Orchestration Automation & Response (SOAR).
  • Experience in root cause analysis and Business Relationship Management practices.

Responsibilities

  • Ensure information and data on computer systems is protected against unauthorized access.
  • Lead execution of responses to computer security incidents according to established policies.
  • Provide timely updates and recommendations to multiple business units during incident responses.
  • Monitor information security-related websites and mailing lists to stay updated on current attacks.
  • Investigate and analyze response activities to mitigate malicious activity and restore operations.
  • Coach and mentor less senior Cyber Security employees.
  • Develop requirements for technical capabilities in cyber incident management.
  • Assess cybersecurity attacks using standards and tools to identify vulnerabilities.
  • Manage information security data sources to maintain organizational situational awareness.
