Job description
The Machine Safety Engineer – Manufacturing role at Cummins in York, SC focuses on enhancing machine safety to reduce incident rates in manufacturing processes. The engineer will design and implement engineered shop floor solutions to improve functional safety and machine safeguarding. Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Industrial Engineering or a related field.
- A minimum of 3 years of experience in a manufacturing environment.
- Strong AutoCad experience and proficiency in tools like Solidworks or Pro-E.
- CMSE (Certified Machinery Safety Expert) or equivalent certification is a plus.
- Demonstrated knowledge of industrial safety standards such as OSHA, ANSI, RIA, NFPA, ISO/EU.
