Job description
The Product Engineer will join the Product Validation team in Rocky Mount, NC, focusing on the midrange diesel, natural gas, and gasoline engine portfolio. This role involves investigating product quality and design issues, supporting sourcing and plant operations, and enhancing customer experience. The engineer will collaborate with various stakeholders, including Quality, Sourcing, and Suppliers, to ensure robust product solutions. Key responsibilities include executing engineering processes and leading validation plans while applying structured problem-solving methods.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a relevant STEM field is required.
- 2 to 4 years of professional experience in product validation, project management, quality, or product design.
- Knowledge of MS Office tools is preferred.
- Experience with structured problem-solving tools and engineering processes.
Responsibilities
- Investigate product and system-level issues and document results.
- Support Product Preceding Technology, Value Package Introduction, and Current Product Support activities.
- Utilize structured problem-solving tools to analyze issues and validate solutions.
- Gather and integrate input from technical managers and project leaders.
- Execute established work processes with minimal supervision.
- Create and lead validation plans using VPCR and PPS processes.
- Support failure analysis efforts for in-house projects.
