Job description
The Software Engineer for Agentic AI Infrastructure at Google will focus on developing the next-generation infrastructure that integrates AI into engineering workflows. This role involves building systems that organize domain knowledge and expose capabilities as skills for Large Language Models. The engineer will work on critical projects that enhance developer productivity using modern AI tools. This position requires versatility and a passion for tackling complex engineering challenges.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
- 2 years of experience with software development or 1 year of experience with an advanced degree in an industry setting.
- 2 years of experience with developing large-scale infrastructure, distributed systems or networks, or experience with compute technologies, storage or hardware architecture.
- Experience in C/C++ and Python programming.
- Experience with software engineering principles and software design.
Responsibilities
- Triage product or system issues and debug/track/resolve by analyzing the sources of issues and the impact on hardware, network, or service operations and quality.
- Design, develop, and optimize the mission-critical, ultra-low-latency C++ back-end systems that power Google Ad Manager and Real-Time Bidding.
- Build the platforms and frameworks that allow autonomous agents to safely interact with, analyze, and manage our core serving infrastructure and its complex engineering data.
- Transform deep system expertise and engineering artifacts into structured, AI-accessible knowledge bases and skills that empower agents to assist in complex engineering tasks.
- Create and deploy intelligent agents to automate critical workflows within our serving stack, ranging from code refactoring and performance analysis to managing project life-cycle.
