Job description

This role is focused on engineering for the Azure Resource Graph, which organizes and makes accessible cloud inventory for Azure customers. The team aims to enhance the platform's scalability and performance to meet growing Azure needs. The position involves technical design and execution for high throughput query and ingestion services. The engineer will also mentor junior members and develop a deep understanding of Azure's business.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer and/or government security screening requirements.
  • Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 3+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to, C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python is preferred.
  • 3+ years of experience working with cloud-scale services in object-oriented programming languages.
  • 2+ years of operational experience in large-scale clouds like Azure, AWS, or GCP.

Responsibilities

  • Drive critical initiatives to help the platform scale to meet growing Azure needs.
  • Design and execute the necessary underlying systems for high throughput query-ability and ingestion services.
  • Develop deep business acumen about Azure and create clarity for the team.
  • Mentor junior team members and foster a sense of purpose within the team.
  • Build infrastructure at the intersection of distributed systems and programming language runtime internals.
