Job description

This role is part of the CoreAI organization at Microsoft, focusing on developing the AI infrastructure that supports the creation of agentic AI systems. The FIT training team is dedicated to advancing methods and scalable infrastructure for training models to achieve high performance. Candidates will work with both proprietary and open-source frameworks to deliver reliable workflows. The ideal candidate is a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and is committed to continuous learning and improvement.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
  • 4+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to build and optimize training infrastructure and tools for various AI models.
  • Design, build, and improve services with high scalability and reliability.
  • Implement services to serve production traffic while fulfilling security and privacy requirements.
  • Participate in efforts to enhance engineering systems and practices for service quality in cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the deployment and monitoring of services in production environments.
