Job description

This role is part of the CoreAI organization at Microsoft, focusing on developing the AI infrastructure that supports agentic AI systems. As a member of the FIT training team, you will work on advancing methods and scalable infrastructure for training models to achieve high performance. The position requires a problem-solver who thrives in dynamic environments and is motivated by making a meaningful impact. You will collaborate with engineers and researchers to optimize training infrastructure for various AI models.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field.
  • 6+ years of technical engineering experience with coding in languages such as C, C++, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.
  • Ability to meet Microsoft, customer, and/or government security screening requirements.

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate with engineers and researchers to build and optimize training infrastructure and tools for LLMs, SLMs, and multimodal models.
  • Design, build, and improve services with high scalability and reliability.
  • Implement services to serve production traffic while fulfilling security and privacy requirements.
  • Participate in efforts to enhance engineering systems and practices to ensure service quality in cloud environments.
  • Contribute to the deployment and monitoring of services in production environments.
