Job description
The Mechanical Engineer role at KLA involves designing and testing innovative mechatronics systems for semiconductor inspection and metrology tools. Requirements
- Bachelor's or Master’s degree in mechanical engineering or equivalent.
- Experience in the design of mechanical or mechatronic hardware.
- Knowledge of vibrations, dynamics, and control system modeling.
- Experience with finite element analysis.
- Understanding of dynamic system modeling and feedback control systems.
- Familiarity with MATLAB or Python.
- Experience with CAD and a passion for design.
Responsibilities
- Design models of high performance linear and rotary motion systems.
- Develop, build, and control mechatronics hardware.
- Analyze and design solutions to machine dynamics and vibration challenges.
- Use model-based design techniques to build predictive performance models.
- Assist with concept generation, error budgets, and addressing customer concerns.
