Job description
KLA is seeking a motivated Product Development Engineer to join a high-caliber team focused on developing the next generation mask inspection platform. The role involves coordinating across multiple engineering functions, including mechanical, electron optics, electrical, and software engineering. The ideal candidate will have a strong technical background and experience in taking projects from requirements through testing and manufacturing handoff. This position requires excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic.
Requirements
- Doctorate degree with related work experience of 0 years, Master's degree with 3 years of experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of experience.
- Strong foundation in building testing systems, physics, high voltage engineering, electron gun design, and imaging systems.
- Experience with particle beam physics, electron optics, or SEM technology is highly desirable.
- Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills in precision mechanics, temperature control, vacuum, image processing, and motion control systems.
- Experience with scripting languages such as Python and/or Matlab for image and signal processing.
Responsibilities
- Define subsystem architectures and develop requirement specifications and test plans.
- Coordinate project activities by aligning with stakeholders and performing system level tasks.
- Work with functional groups to define and review designs.
- Participate in prototype integration and testing of assemblies and systems.
- Create and implement test plans and perform logical analysis to validate system performance.
- Establish workflow and train stakeholders on processes.
- Create and document calibration, manufacturing, and service procedures.
- Troubleshoot system and subsystem issues and collaborate with various teams to implement solutions.
- Support internal and external customers in optimizing tool performance.
