Job description

This position is for an Electrical Engineer within KLA's Film and Scatterometry Technology Division, focusing on the design and development of semiconductor capital equipment. The role involves both the development of new products and the support of existing ones, requiring strong electrical design and troubleshooting skills. The team is dedicated to providing metrology solutions for semiconductor manufacturers, ensuring high performance and reliability of their products. Collaboration with cross-functional teams is essential to meet electrical requirements and achieve successful system integration.

Requirements

  • Doctorate degree with no related work experience, Master's degree with 3 years of related work experience, or Bachelor's degree with 5 years of related work experience.

Responsibilities

  • Perform analog and digital electrical design for prototype and production boards.
  • Own and drive board-level design activities in collaboration with system and architecture teams.
  • Perform hands-on assembly, integration, and modification of electronic boards and sub-assemblies.
  • Support mechanical and electrical integration of electronic assemblies at the system level.
  • Lead and support troubleshooting of complex electrical issues on prototype and pre-production tools.
  • Work closely with Program Managers to define and implement electrical requirements across programs.
  • Interface directly with external vendors to support new hardware development and design improvements.
