The Mechanical Design Engineer will work within KLA's ECI division in Totowa, NJ, focusing on the design of mechanical components for new analyzer and dosing system variants. This role involves leading projects from requirements through release and post-release support, ensuring designs are manufacturable and serviceable. The engineer will collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve integration issues and support production readiness. The position emphasizes precision in mechanical design to meet the rigorous demands of semiconductor manufacturing.
Requirements
- B.S. or M.S. in Mechanical Engineering or related field with 5+ years of experience developing electromechanical products.
- Advanced 3D CAD proficiency including SolidWorks or Inventor.
- Demonstrated experience in design for manufacturing and assembly for various materials.
- Experience designing fluid-handling systems and integrating sensitive components.
- Strong requirements management skills with traceability to mechanical design decisions.
Responsibilities
- Lead projects for new analyzer and dosing system variants, owning mechanical scope from requirements through release.
- Develop and review 3D CAD models, ensuring designs are manufacturable and serviceable.
- Own and review flow diagrams derived from customer requirements and engineering specifications.
- Lead design and integration of complex assemblies, defining robust mechanical interfaces.
- Generate and approve complete documentation packages for release, ensuring compliance with internal standards.
