Job description

The Customer Support Engineer (CSE) is responsible for customer service activities related to troubleshooting, diagnosing, and repairing complex capital equipment at customer sites. This role is part of the KLA Services team, which focuses on maintaining high performance and productivity of products through a flexible portfolio of services. The CSE ensures operational quality and coordinates with customers to minimize downtime. This position requires independent work and frequent communication with management.

Requirements

  • Master's Level Degree with 0 years of related work experience or Bachelor's Level Degree with 2 years of related work experience.
  • Technical knowledge and training in troubleshooting and repairing complex equipment.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate, analyze, diagnose, and troubleshoot technical equipment problems via telephone or at customer sites.
  • Repair and modify equipment at customer facilities.
  • Prepare quotes for customers based on labor, travel expenses, and parts needed.
  • Cross train and assist other field service engineers as appropriate.
  • Prepare field service reports on customer support activity and document recurring issues.
