Job description
KLA is looking for a Product Safety & Regulatory Compliance Engineer to support safety assessments and regulatory compliance for semiconductor manufacturing equipment. This role is based in Ann Arbor, MI, and involves working closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to ensure products meet safety standards and regulations. The engineer will focus on integrating safety into product design and supporting certification processes. This hands-on position is ideal for someone looking to deepen their expertise in product safety within complex industrial systems.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical, Mechanical, Chemical Engineering, or equivalent technical discipline.
- 5 years of relevant experience in product safety, regulatory compliance, or a related engineering field.
- Working knowledge of SEMI S2 or similar industrial safety standards.
- Familiarity with CE marking framework and applicable EU directives.
- Experience with hazard analysis techniques such as FMEA, PHA, or HAZOP.
Responsibilities
- Support product safety and regulatory certification activities for assigned semiconductor equipment platforms.
- Assist in ensuring compliance with applicable standards and regulations.
- Perform product hazard analyses using established methods.
- Partner with engineering teams to review designs for product safety and regulatory compliance.
- Support coordination with third-party certification and test agencies.
