Job description

The Electrical Designer will join a creative MEP BIM team focused on designing complex projects for Amazon's Data Center facilities. This role involves preparing Electrical BIM models and construction documents while collaborating with various internal and external stakeholders. The team is dedicated to innovative solutions and maintaining high standards for safety and efficiency. Requirements

  • 4+ years of industrial or commercial engineering experience in mission critical facilities such as data centers.
  • Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field.
  • 4+ years of experience using Revit for producing Electrical engineering BIM models and construction drawings.
  • Practical knowledge of electrical codes (NEC) and safety regulations.
  • Professional Engineer License.

Responsibilities

  • Design the electrical systems of Data Centers and utilize Revit to create and maintain BIM models.
  • Prepare and develop detailed Revit models of electrical building systems.
  • Conduct electrical engineering calculations and studies, including short circuit and arc flash analysis.
  • Update and modify existing models, studies, and construction documents as required.
  • Participate in design coordination meetings for clash detection and resolution.
