Job description

The Software Development Engineer in Machine Learning will enhance the scalability, automation, and efficiency of large-scale training and real-time inference systems. This role is part of the Sponsored Products and Brands team at Amazon Ads, which focuses on revolutionizing advertising through generative AI technologies. The team is collaborative and entrepreneurial, seeking to build advanced machine learning models and infrastructure. The engineer will work closely with applied scientists to optimize machine-learning models and implement end-to-end solutions.

Requirements

  • 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
  • 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
  • Experience as a mentor, tech lead, or leading an engineering team
  • 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and operations
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Enhance the scalability, automation, and efficiency of large-scale training and real-time inference systems
  • Pioneer the development of LLM inference infrastructure to support next-generation GenAI workloads
  • Work closely with applied scientists to optimize the performance of machine-learning models
  • Implement end-to-end solutions for machine learning infrastructure
