The Product Lifecycle Electrical Engineer role at Amazon Web Services focuses on the design and continuous innovation of electrical distribution products for data centers. You will work within a diverse team of engineers and specialists to ensure the highest standards of safety and security while optimizing costs. The position requires collaboration with various internal and external partners to meet customer needs and improve product performance. This role also involves international travel and leading projects that enhance the reliability and scalability of engineering designs.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related field
- 4+ years of commissioning experience
- Experience in industrial or commercial engineering in mission critical facilities
- Professional Engineer License
- Experience with building codes and regulations for your region
- Experience in design of low voltage power distribution products or operational support for data centers
Responsibilities
- Work with internal partner teams to define design requirements for product improvements
- Support new product design, qualification, and launch focused on low voltage power distribution
- Be the global escalation point for issues in the product fleet across data centers
- Collaborate with global suppliers to optimize cost and supply chain resilience
- Ensure compliance with relevant standards and building codes through appropriate testing
- Validate design through first-of-kind deployments and prepare teams for at-scale operations
- Support manufacturing activities for new products across multiple geographical locations
- Lead within the product development team and collaborate with external engineering firms
