Job description

The Senior Systems Development Engineer role at AWS Managed Operations focuses on balancing day-to-day operations with long-term software engineering to enhance the reliability and performance of AWS systems. Requirements

  • 5+ years of deploying and operating in a Linux/Unix environment experience
  • 5+ years of systems development in an IT or data center environment experience
  • 3+ years of systems design, software development, operations, automation, and process improvement experience
  • 3+ years of programming with at least one modern language such as C++, C#, Java, Python, Golang, PowerShell, or Ruby experience
  • Experience leading the design, build and deployment of complex and performant software solutions in production

Responsibilities

  • Collaborate across diverse teams, projects, and environments to impact the global customer base.
  • Solve challenging technical problems at every layer of the stack.
  • Operate production systems and make long-term improvements to software reliability and performance.
