Job description

We are seeking an experienced engineer to work on distributed AI/ML systems, focusing on collective operations that enable AI to scale across multiple accelerators and servers. The role is part of Annapurna Labs, a crucial part of AWS, which develops hardware and software components for EC2 infrastructure. Requirements

  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • 2+ years of non-internship design or architecture experience of new and existing systems
  • Experience programming with at least one software programming language
  • Knowledge of Linux fundamentals
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and code reviews
  • Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
  • Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming

Responsibilities

  • Work on collective operations that enable AI to scale across multiple accelerators and servers
  • Collaborate with infrastructure experts, hardware engineers, and scientists
  • Mentor new and junior engineers while receiving mentorship from senior members
  • Develop networking solutions for Machine Learning (ML) and High-Performance Computing (HPC) workloads
  • Participate in the full software development life cycle, including coding, testing, and operations
