This role involves leading multi-person projects from design to delivery, focusing on container platform integrations and resource management for machine learning accelerators. The Neuron Containers team connects the Neuron SDK to various compute platforms, ensuring reliable workload execution at scale. The position requires solving scalability challenges and simplifying systems while driving operational excellence and team quality. The ideal candidate will also build consensus among stakeholders on technical directions.
Requirements
- 5+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
- 5+ years of programming experience with at least one software programming language
- 5+ years of experience leading design or architecture of new and existing systems
- 5+ years of experience in the full software development life cycle, including coding standards and testing
- Experience as a mentor or tech lead in an engineering team
- 7+ years of overall software development experience
- 4+ years of experience with distributed systems or a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field
- Experience in large-scale IT deployment or programming
- Proficiency in Go or similar systems languages
- Bachelor's degree in computer science or equivalent
- Experience with Kubernetes architecture and device plugins
- Hands-on experience with Helm, Prometheus, and Kubernetes operator frameworks
- Familiarity with ML training/inference infrastructure and container image pipelines
- Experience with AWS compute services such as EC2, EKS, ECS, and ECR
- Exposure to Deep Learning Containers or Deep Learning AMIs
Responsibilities
- Lead multi-person projects end-to-end from design documentation to delivery.
- Design container platform integrations for ML accelerator resource management.
- Solve scalability challenges and diagnose performance issues across large customer clusters.
- Simplify systems by deprecating legacy software and reducing complexity in delivery pipelines.
- Drive operational excellence by owning on-call responsibilities and proactively triaging test failures.
- Elevate team quality through insightful code reviews and setting standards with personal contributions.
- Build consensus among stakeholders on technical direction when solutions are ambiguous.
