Job description

The Manufacturing Engineer role at Amazon Web Services involves working in a dynamic international manufacturing environment to support the production of cloud computing hardware. The engineer will collaborate with contract manufacturers and internal teams to ensure quality and efficiency in new product launches. Requirements

  • Bachelor's or Master’s degree in Industrial, Manufacturing Engineering or a similar related field or equivalent experience
  • 2+ years of Manufacturing Engineering work experience with server platforms or high-tech hardware
  • 5+ years of experience working with manufacturing suppliers to improve incoming quality of systems
  • 5+ years of experience reducing cycle time and improving labor efficiency
  • Experience working with interdisciplinary teams to execute product design from concept to production
  • Experience with project management of technical projects

Responsibilities

  • Manage quality at the contract manufacturer
  • Provide on-site support for new product launches and address sustaining issues
  • Design in quality and manufacturability for new designs of servers and racks
  • Root cause customer impacting issues and drive resolution
