Job description

The Embedded Software Development Engineer role at AWS focuses on building and owning server-related firmware for Generative AI cloud solutions. You will work with a team of skilled software developers to create innovative and scalable solutions for data center infrastructure challenges. This position is part of the AWS Hardware Engineering team, which is responsible for designing and delivering high-performance cloud offerings. You will have the opportunity to impact AWS's bottom line and contribute to the development of next-generation platforms.

Requirements

  • 2+ years of embedded firmware development experience
  • 3+ years of non-internship professional software development experience
  • Knowledge of Python and/or C++ programming
  • 3+ years of full software development life cycle experience, including coding standards and testing
  • Master's degree in computer science or equivalent

Responsibilities

  • Develop Server Baseboard Management Controller (BMC) Software.
  • Engage in embedded firmware and Linux driver development.
  • Provide support for data center operations.
  • Develop scripting languages for various applications.
  • Collaborate with various job roles and groups through server conception, testing, launch, and operations.
