As an Amazon Robotics Solutions Design Engineer, you will collaborate with talented engineers to design and develop robotic fulfillment systems globally. The role focuses on creating innovative, safe, and scalable robotic sortation solutions while simplifying design processes. You will work closely with customers and various teams to ensure high-performance delivery across Amazon's fulfillment networks. The team emphasizes maintaining existing systems and developing new product initiatives to meet growing customer demands.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering or a related field or 2+ years of Amazon experience.
- Experience using business/technical software like MS Excel, Revit, AutoCAD, BIM360, and simulation software like FlexSim.
- Demonstrated use of analytical skills to solve complex engineering problems.
- Experience with complex automated material handling equipment and robotics.
- Experience with process design based on Lean Principles.
- Ability to travel 10% globally to interact with internal and external business and technical leaders.
Responsibilities
- Evaluate and create physical processing and material storage solutions using innovative technology and robotics.
- Identify and analyze key operational and financial metrics to drive smart decisions.
- Coordinate and collaborate with systems and operations engineering teams to develop product features.
- Manage and support multiple projects and tasks simultaneously while effectively communicating with partners.
- Develop models as required to solve complex problems.
