Job description

The Software Integration Engineer will be part of the Amazon LEO for Government (ALG) Engineering organization, focusing on the design, integration, and testing of innovative terrestrial communication applications. This role requires collaboration with cross-disciplinary teams to ensure that systems exceed customer expectations. The engineer will develop test architectures and procedures for complex systems, ensuring efficient execution and verification of requirements. The position emphasizes a strong technical background and the ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.

Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or electrical engineering, computer engineering, or equivalent.
  • 5+ years of software and firmware integration and test experience.
  • 4+ years of experience testing embedded complex systems developed in C, C++, Python, Docker, or Rust.
  • 5+ years working with test infrastructure or systems running on Linux platforms.
  • 5+ years of experience using standard electronic lab test equipment.
  • Strong debugging and troubleshooting skills.
  • Master's Degree or higher in electrical engineering or computer engineering is preferred.
  • Ability to coordinate between engineering, test lab, and technicians.

Responsibilities

  • Provide Software and Firmware Integration and Test leadership for complete feature testing of custom user terminals.
  • Work with various functional engineering disciplines to derive test inputs and outputs.
  • Specify and develop end-to-end system or sub-system integration and test plans.
  • Analyze test data and engage with the engineering team to evaluate product performance.
  • Lead troubleshooting and root cause analysis and corrective actions.
  • Develop test architecture and test equipment design to support test objectives.
  • Ensure the test architecture supports all aspects of integration, test, verification, and validation.
